343 Industries, Microsoft, Nintendo and Electronic Arts Developers Join Forces to Create Games on the Ethereum Blockchain 

Blockchain study 30 percent Finance leader commit resources

The 8 Circuit Studios, has started a project aimed at developing games on the Ethereum blockchain. The studio is made up of competent developers from Nintendo, 343 Industries, Electronic Arts and Microsoft. The studio is being governed by James Mayo the chief producer of Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, F.E.A.R, and Age of Empires 2.

Ethereum Blockchain Presents A World of Possibilities

The first game released on the Ethereum blockchain by the studio was Alien Arsenal. This game was created with the 8Bit Token which was distributed to players through the Space Drop Program.

The game is a science fiction series featuring an alien. It can be upgraded by the user if they are interested in fighting the battle for the blockchain. This game is one of the first upgradable digital assets to be developed. The tokens are used to increase a players life on the game, and it can also be used for trading with other players.

Another new game is set to be released on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and regular computers. The new game was named D-PARC, and it is about creating a character that will never die. The character’s life will be fused to the Ethereum blockchain, and the player will be left to decide if he or she is interested in carrying out eternal consequences.

The idea is to combine psychological survival mechanics with a players perspective. The script of the game is based on Bitcoin creator’s callback, ship n-SATOSHI.

During the announcement, James Mayo said:

“ The phase one of the projects will be to save the state of the character while the second phase will allow players to bring the character in future published games. At the final phase, users will be able to bring characters into games irrespective of the publishers or the platform.”

The Ethereum blockchain opens a world of limitless possibilities to anyone interested in tapping into the technology.
