- Tezos is the top performer over the weekend
- Tezos outperforms Cardano to take over the 10 position on the list of top digital currencies
- There are a lot of bullish sentiments around Tezos (XTZ)
Tezos News Today – Most digital currencies saw marginal gains over the weekend, as the valuation of the crypto markets claws back over $200 billion. Tezos (XTZ) is one of the top performers over the weekend, as the market cap of the coin tops $1 billion and it secured a spot among the top ten cryptos in the market.
Tezos (XTZ) Outpaced Crypto Markets over the Weekend
There has been no major crypto dump over the weekend, and that is a piece of good news. Many digital currencies in the market were able to amass some gains over the weekend. Bitcoin (BTC) has been consolidating throughout the weekend, as it surges over $7,500 and drags other digital currencies along.
However, only one digital currency has made a considerable level of progress over the past few days. Tezos (XTZ) has overtaken Cardano (ADA), as its market cap topped a billion dollars for the third time this year. XTZ started the weekend around the $1.3 level and it surged to a new daily high of $1.65 a few hours ago. This is an increase of about 27 percent in just two days, making Tezos (XTZ) the best performer in terms of price over the weekend.
The daily trading volume of Tezos (XTZ) surged from below $40 million to about $70 million with OKEx and Binance taking the majority of the trade, followed by Coinbase Pro. Since the start of this year, the price of the digital currency has surged by a whopping 250 percent, outperforming many altcoins in the market and Bitcoin (BTC) itself.

There is still so much digital currency tribalism, with many seeing this as a platform to bash competing blockchain projects such as Ethereum and EOS.
Bullish Sentiments around Tezos (XTZ)
There could be an array of reasons for the recent upsurge in the price of the digital currency. Staking opportunities are now open on Binance and Coinbase – two top leading digital currency trading platforms in the world. A week ago, Binance said that it would support zero-fee Tezos staking. Coinbase is also pushing education on Tezos (XTZ) by giving a little away to those that watch videos on it.
Tezos is still undergoing development, just like the competing platforms. At press time, Tezos (XTZ) is a leader in the digital currency markets in terms of performance. It seems to be the digital currency darling at the moment, but how long will this last?
