- Tone Vays seeks clarification to his question on if Iran & N. Korea Can Use XRP without U.S. Intrusion
- Tone Vays refute Garlinghouse’s claim
Former Wallstreet trader and vice president of JP Morgan Chase, Tone Vays, has probed the unified nature of Ripple and its digital currency XRP, wanting to know if it would be possible for plagued North Korea and Iran to make use of the remittance platform and its On-Demand Liquidity (ODL) without the United States prying.
The financial analysts, who termed XRP a rip-off coin, had in the past, condemned Ripple and its token for several reasons. He stated that Ripple claims XRP is decentralized and irrepressible, but if Iran or North Korea utilize Ripple’s XRP as a universal currency and value transfer. He stated that a call from the U.S authorities to the CEO of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, will make the company stop the two countries from utilizing the asset.
XRP (XRP) Price Today – XRP / USD
Tone’s opinion is based on the recent crisis between Iran and the United States. Vays question XRP’s level of centralization, and its capability as a decentralized currency to help the two countries out of the sanction placed on them by the U.S.
Tone stated: “Ripple claims their XRP scam coin is decentralized & uncontrollable, but if Iran & North Korea start using Ripple as global currency & value transfer, all it will take is a phone call from the US authorities to Garlinghouse.”
Tone Vays Refute Garlinghouse’s Claim
In a recent interview hosted by Julia Chatterley on CNN with Brad Garlinghouse, the CEO claims that his company does not control and cannot control the price action of XRP due to its decentralization. Though some critics are stating otherwise, mentioning that the crypto is nothing close to being decentralized. For a while now, it has been speculated that Ripple with a close connection with XRP has a major influence on the bearishness of the token. Analysts and investors are basing their speculations on the massive quarterly token sales.
Tone Vays seem not to be having any of Garlinghouse’s declaration, the analyst shared that the token is highly centralized, stating his belief that Ripple could suddenly stop plagued nations from using the token if given the order.
He went thus: “I said it before & will again. @Ripple claims their $XRP scam coin is decentralized & uncontrollable but if Iran & North Korea start using #Ripple as global currency & value transfer all it will take is a phone call from the US authorities to Garlinghouse —> ‘Shitcoin Gone’.” he said.
It is still ambiguous what the year 2020 has in store for XRP, though it seems the speculations on Ripple’s influence on its coin will persist.
