  • com will identify zones free of disease

Cryptocurrency News Today – the Public health Blockchain Consortium (PHBC) claims it can help to track the coronavirus. The PHBC announced the VirusBlockchain.com. This new Blockchain purports to track all communities to make sure they remain free of viruses like the coronavirus. The PHBC announced it on Thursday and it led to the launch of VirusBlockchain.com. Aside from tracking the coronavirus, the new Blockchain has revealed that it will track all communities that are free of other high-risk viruses and infections caused by bacteria, and fungi.

PHBC Consists of Health Authorities and Universities

According to its site, the PHBC is made up of health authorities, innovators, universities, and health care providers who strive to collect, safely store up and analyze any anonymous health data on the PHBC-connected Blockchain. This will be done to eradicate all diseases and improve lives around the globe. However, there are no partners listed on its site. The PHBC has opened invites for participants who will join the new Blockchain. The PHBC has revealed that it will show results from participating communities along with workplaces at a conference scheduled for next year.

VirusBlockchain.com will reportedly use certificates issued by security organizations and governmental agencies who are monitoring issues to automatically identify free zones and companies that have been deemed free of all infectious diseases. It will do this by integrating real-time data from virus surveillance providers who use AI (artificial intelligence) GIS (geographical information systems). This data would be placed on the Blockchain. According to the CEO of Qlikchain Ayon Hazra:

Communities and workplaces can manage safe zone status only if they restrict the access to the anonymously identified individuals and allow movement through other safe zones which are going to administer the Blockchain.”

Hazra added that:

“Unlike the traditional infectious disease surveillance designed to focus on only infected individuals, this is a system that watches the movement of all uninfected persons intending to place restrictions on their return if they manage to pass through the infected areas.”

People in Infected Regions Must Remain in Quarantine

According to a press release from the consortium, individuals who have entered infected areas must remain in the quarantined zone before they are permitted to enter the safe zone. This system may be similar to how the citizens around the globe are asked to self-quarantine whenever they have been in contact with infected persons.

However, at press time it is unclear how the project will track “the anonymously identified individuals.” While this is an appropriate example for decentralized ledgers, or whether world governments have shown interest in adopting this kind of tool. When Hazra was reached for comments, he did not respond.
