Byron will boost the performance of Cardano Explorer, Cardano node, Daedalus wallet, and every other element of the Cardano blockchain. Byron is going to change the logic of how the blockchain interacts with itself. This, in turn, will allow developers to update individual components of the blockchain without affecting the others. Byron will pave the way for future developments of the blockchain post the fully decentralized Shelley upgrade. It comes just after the release of Hydra, an upgrade that will allow swift micropayments on the Cardano blockchain.
