- Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson Answers Questions About the Future of the Blockchain
- Cardano ADA Continues To Outperform others Tokens on CoinMarketCap
Cardano News Today – Recently Cardano’s Charles Hoskinson took to YouTube to answer questions about the Cardano blockchain and the upcoming Cardano Shelley mainnet launch. This Q&A comes right after the first wave of pioneers started testing the Shelley network. During the Q&A section, he talked about several things including the capabilities of the blockchain, trolls who have only had negative things to say about the network, and the all-important Cardano roadmap which is dedicated to meeting the deadline. Hoskinson said that Cardano will be able to process over 1000 per second after the mainnet launch is completed.
Cardano News Today – Cardano is the Future of Blockchain Technology
During the Q&A which lasted for more than two hours, Hoskinson said that the first group of people who started testing Cardano about a week ago have already started getting a hang of how the Shelley mainnet works. Hoskinson said that the pool operators and everyone else who is part of the first group of testers, were educated thoroughly about the mainnet before the test started. Now, they are concentrating on creating blocks on the Shelley network. As soon as the first wave of pioneers get a hang of how staking will work on the testnet, everyone else in the community will have access to it.
Next month, IOHK is going to carry out a balance check right after Shelley has been wired to Daedalus so that users of the Shelley network can remain online throughout the month. Right now, the network is developing at the desired pace and it is most likely going to keep moving at this pace until the final launch. Hoskinson said that we should expect the Shelley mainnet will go live by mid-June. The stake pool operators have been working in harmony with IOHK and they are satisfied with what they have seen so far.

At the time the video was posted, there were 19,000 validating nodes on the Shelley network. These modes were being controlled by 1200 stake pool operators. Before the new month starts, IOHK will host several summits to talk about all the findings of the testnet. They have already started developing workflows for the upcoming summits. The major topic of the first summit is going to be Plutus, according to Hoskinson. A guest who isn’t a member of the Cardano community will be present at the summit but the identity of this guest hasn’t been revealed.
Meanwhile, the Cardano ADA token is still outperforming Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap. The trading volume over a 24 hour period is $214,590,059 and the market capitalization is $1,432,989,501.
