During an interview with CNBC, Charlie Lee talked about how Lighting Network will affect Litecoin. He also talked about the blockchain industry, security, and the cryptocurrency market as a whole. The Lighting Network allows participants to perform high volume transactions at high speed on a subsidiary network by combining smart contract scripts with Bitcoin blockchain transactions.
When asked about how Lighting Network will affect Litecoin, Lee said that the strength of the Bitcoin (BTC) network has increased within the past few years. According to him, the SegWit project has been activated and the developers are working to improve the Lighting Network which will act as a second layer problem solver for all payments on Litecoin and Bitcoin.
