Blockchain Introduce Crypto Trading Platform for Institutional Investors

Blockchain, a major player in the cryptocurrency space, has launched a platform that will allow institutional investors get access t cryptocurrency. In a blog post released on Friday, Blockchain announced the launch of Blockchain Principal Strategies (BPS), a comprehensive suite of trading tools for institutional investors.

According to the post, “BPS provides institutions, family offices, and individual investors unparalleled and tailored access to markets, research, and services on the most trusted digital asset platform worldwide.”

Through an over-the-counter (OTC) trading desk, investors can make large buy or sell orders without affecting the wider cryptocurrency market. Blockchain promised that BPS would provide top matchmaking, trade execution, customized portfolio and risk management. Investors would also have access to ‘white glove’ services from a team comprising professionals from Cooley, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and UBS.

Furthermore, the BPS will provide clients with exclusive market insights provided by research team led by revered cryptocurrency economist, Garrick Hileman. They will also be given easily access to token offerings and other cryptocurrency investments.

The CEO of Blockchain, Peter Smith expressed delight at the Blockchain product and highlighted its importance. He said:

“We are thrilled to debut Blockchain Principal Strategies, an institutional grade platform customised for institutions, family offices, and individual investors… BPS provides clients the opportunity to invest in digital assets with the same peace of mind and security that has become synonymous with the Blockchain name.”

Breanne Madigan, Head of Institutional Sales and Strategy, said that BPS is a step towards broader goal to modernize the financial sector explaining that it will offer crypto education and networking.

Blockchain, which recently chain domains form Blockchain.info to Blockchain.com, was established in 2011 to provide information about bitcoin Blockchain. It’s BPS joins a growing list of cryptocurrency trading products targeted at institutional investors. Coinbase released a suite of trading tools aimed at institutional investors, while Circle launched a similar product, ‘CircleTrade’.

BPS was made accessible following the announcement and Blockchain says it would launch more products in the coming months.
