Tron (TRX) and NEO (NEO) are in a serious competition for the right to be noticed as a top ten digital currency. The two digital currencies are regularly trading places for some time now, and at the time of writing, Tron (TRX) is directly above NEO.
The Aim of Both Platforms
Both NEO and Tron (TRX) are working to provide faster and better alternatives to Ethereum to get the attention of developers that are interested in developing the next wave of Dapps (decentralized apps). NEO has a minimum of sixty decentralized applications in development, including Red Pulse, THEKEY, and AdEx.
Tron is just getting started after the launch of its Mainnet, with a minimum of nine decentralized apps in development, along with an incentive program to get the attention of new developers. Both platforms are also very engaging in terms of teases, and releasing mysterious early announcements on what they want to achieve.
During the live stream of the Mainnet launch of Tron, Justin Sun – the Founder of Tron, announced the upcoming release of Tron Virtual Machine (VM) and it is scheduled for the 31st of July. He also said that before Tron VM will be released, the firm will release one of its secret projects.
NEO is not left out in this, as the team also dropped its own tease on what its community should expect in the short-term. The official Twitter account of NEO revealed that the development team is working on NEO v3.0.
