Following up on Justin Sun’s promise of a secret project since last month that is scheduled to be unveiled on the 30th of July, the Tron Foundation and the founder of Tron (TRX) – Justin Sun, have announced “project Atlas.” The new project is aimed at strengthening the foundation of Tron (TRX) and making the cryptocurrency more efficient in relation to its recent acquisition of BitTorrent.
Torrenting and the Secret Project of Tron (TRX)
During a live stream event to celebrate the Tron’s Independence Day in June, the founder of Tron (TRX) emphasized on the Virtual Machine of Tron, in addition to teasing the announcement of a new project on the 30th of July. While most of Tron’s community members thought the announcement would have to do with Sun acquiring BitTorrent, hence integrating the 100 million users of BitTorrent onto the Mainnet of Tron, news circulated a week ago that merger was occurring prior to the announcement on the 30th of July.
Rather, the Foundation provided a twist on the update of the digital currency, announcing Project Atlas – a project that is aimed at enhancing the existing framework of the digital currency and the blockchain of Tron. While there are no much details about the project for now, Sun posted on his Twitter account that the new protocol of Tron will work together with the BitTorrent merger.
Furthermore, the Open Letter that was released yesterday to accompany Tron Virtual Machine Beta Launch, states that that BitTorrent acquisition will enable Tron (TRX) to evolve exponentially in the digital currency space.
