Litecoin Alongside BTC, ETH, And BCH To Be Added as Payment Options By Online Stores

Coinbase – one of the most popular digital currency trading platforms in the world – recently announced the release of WooCommerce Plugin. This new plugin by Coinbase will enable about 50 million online stores to start accepting digital currency payments in Litecoin (LTC), Ethereum (ETH), Bitcoin BTC, and Bitcoin Cash (BCH) directly from their customers across the globe. The exchange also introduced other features in an effort to boost the adoption of digital currencies.

WooCommerce Plugin Launched by Coinbase

Coinbase has taken yet another step towards the adoption of digital currency. The launch of WooCommerce Plugin is one of the most recent development of the firm to enhance the adoption and use of crypto. The platform has created an enabling environment for merchants all over the world to accept digital currencies as a means of payment directly from their customers.

In a blog post by the exchange, it said that merchants that are utilizing WooCommerce at the moment will be able to start accepting digital currencies as a means of payment much easier. WooCommerce is a very popular ecommerce platform that powers more than twenty-eight percent of online stores.

With close to 50 million WooCommerce downloads, all the online stores using the platform will have access to digital currency settlements from their customers.

Boosting the Adoption of Digital Currency

The trading platform presently has four digital currencies listed on its platform, which are Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH). The firm said that this development will result in more widespread adoption of digital currencies and also move the firm closer to its goal of an open financial system.

The firm also introduced a new feature that allows for the sending of Litecoin (LTC) and Bitcoin (BTC) directly from Coinbase Commerce. The same feature will soon be made available for Ethereum (ETH) and Bitcoin Cash (BCH).
