Ethereum Classic Trades In The Bullish Territory With Higher Highs 

On Sunday, August 5th, 2018, the transaction figures of Ethereum Classic (ETC) touched 65,560 – this is the highest transaction volume the digital currency has tested this month. There are speculations in the digital currency community that the increase in the transaction volumes is as a result of the announcements made by Coinbase on the 3rd of August.

The Announcement of Coinbase

On the 3rd of August, Coinbase – one of the most popular digital currency trading platform in the world – made an announcement that they were in the final phase of testing Ethereum Classic (ETC). Soon after they are done, the digital currency will be added to the list of tradable digital currencies on the platform.

The highest increase in daily transaction volume of Ethereum Classic (ETC) took place on the 5th of March this year, with the volume of transactions hitting 101,933 in twenty-four hours. The increase in the transaction volume was attributed to the ETC – Callisto airdrop.

The second highest daily volume happened on the 29th of July. At this time, the daily transaction volume went to as high as 85,587.

There have been speculations about the listing of Ethereum Classic (ETC) a few days before the official announcement came from Coinbase. Back in June, TechCrunch also reported their conjecture regarding the listing.

The digital currency recently celebrated its second anniversary since it was hard forked on the 21st of July 2016. The blockchain project has been doing pretty well and it recently outlined two ongoing projects – the Classic Geth Project and the Emerald-Js project.
