The Lunch Date of Zilliqa (ZIL) Mainnet
Regarding the Mainnet launch of the blockchain project, the Zilliqa (ZIL) team has asked the ZIL community to be patient as more time is required to work on the end product. The team said they might launch the Mainnet of Zilliqa by the end of 2018 or in January next year.
The reason why they shifted the date is that they need more time to carry out adequate security audits, prepare for an execute the token migration, develop toolchains, integrate with wallets, and bring more decentralized applications onboard.
News about Partnerships
On the 2nd of August, the team at Zilliqa announced a partnership with one of the leading enterprise software firms in Japan – Infoteria. The firm is also listed on the Stock Exchange of Tokyo, and the team said that this partnership will be highly beneficial to the blockchain project.
Scilla Programming Language
The team has also merged the two Proof of Works into a single Proof of Work, as stated in the whitepaper. The blockchain project initially had two rounds of PoWs to elect new shard nodes and DS nodes. But they have combined the both of them into one.
They have also launched typechecker’s first version for Scilla Contracts. Users can now typecheck their Scilla contract using the binary “Scilla-checker.”
