Roger Ver – the CEO of Bitcoin.com recently said that his publication may soon launch an Initial Coin Offering as it introduces a new tool that allows developers to issue tokens on the blockchain of Bitcoin Cash BCH.
He disclosed this in a video posted on Bitcoin.com. Together with Corbin Fraser – one of the lead developers of Bitcoin.com, the CEO said in the video that the arrival of the Wormhole Cash protocol – which enables developers to create tokens on the blockchain of Bitcoin Cash – would open doors for new possibilities.
Fraser and Ver’s Remark
Corbin Fraser said “for better or worse, CryptoKitties and Initial Coin Offerings are perhaps coming to BCH in the near future,” to which Roger responded, “they are also coming to Bitcoin.com.” Roger Ver added that they have been thinking of having their own Initial coin offering for perhaps the games aspect of the network; maybe they will sell tokens and pay dividends of or purchase back the tokens on the open market with part of the money.
The release of the Wormhole comes as BitMain – a digital currency mining operator – hits the spotlight over its intention to hold an IPO (initial public offering). The move seemed to be catastrophic for the mining operation, a pre-IPO filing indicating the firm had lost funds as Bitcoin Cash (BCH) declined in value.
According to the investor deck of Bitmain pre-IPO, the traded most of their Bitcoin (BTC) for Bitcoin Cash BCH, at the rate of $900/BCH. As the value of the coin depreciates over the past three months, the firm has lost half a billion.
