After a positive day of a little comeback in the value of digital currencies, Ethereum Classic (ETC) is a beneficiary of an amazing news, as it was confirmed that the digital currency trading platform – Coinbase Consumer will list ETC from today, 16th of August.
Coinbase Consumer Will List ETC Today
Ethereum Classic will be added to Coinbase Consumer by 5:00pm PT, and this was confirmed via a tweet from the Official Twitter handle of the trading platform. According to the tweet, Coinbase Consumer will list ETC and its customers will be able to trade, purchase, store, and sell Ethereum Classic (ETC) on Coinbase.com and also via the mobile application.
Most of the digital currency in the market were able to amass a fraction of their lost values yesterday, but they have returned to the red over the past couple of hours. The only exception was ETC, which skyrocketed as a result of the latest announcement that Coinbase Consumer will list ETC on the 16th of August.
While the likes of Litecoin (LTC), Bitcoin Cash (BCH), and Bitcoin (BTC) are experiencing losses just beneath one percent, the value of Ethereum Classic (ETC) has increased by more than 17% over the past twenty-four hours.
The reason for the spike in the value of the coin does not really come as a surprise as the trading platform has been making several moves around the digital currency.
