ONTO is the mobile application client of the blockchain project. It allows users to create their identity in the digital world, by connecting the different identity sources operating around them. They are aimed at providing digital currency management and distributed data exchange while operating both private and public chains.

All the data – from the public and private chain – will be connected back to the blockchain. The identity sources they want to bring on board are from the government; things like CA, eID, and from institutions such as enterprises and schools. When a user verifies his identity via any of these sources, the source of the blockchain will be recorded, and it will create an identity trust certificate which will subsequently be put on the blockchain.

They have collaborated with CFCA (China Financial Certification Authority) for the authentication of the real names for the citizens of China. Ontology (ONT) has also listed IdentityMinds Global and CCX Credit Technology Co. Ltd. as partners on the application. This is according to the reports by smarttest.wpmudev.host. ONTO application will also use social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn to further be listed as identity sources. The Android version of ONTO was launched in July this year, and the iOS version of the app was just released a few days ago.
