On the other hand, the current state of the world is stored on a separate database for quick access. The Consensus Mechanism, is the combined effect of ordering service and endorsement model that brings about consensus in the network. The membership services manage the whole concept of identity using certificates that will be validated and authenticated. It is a core part of permissioning in the Fabric. The smart contract runtime supports mainly smart contracts in Go or Node.js.
