In a bid to advance blockchain technology across industries, the Hyperledger project was developed. It is an open source system that is hosted by Linux foundation. The global project includes leaders from various industries from supply chain, technology, finance, and, IoT. Now, Hyperledger and the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance have decided to work together to promote the project. The announcement, which was made earlier in the month, was about the strategic partnership. It was as follows:
“Our organizations both have similar objectives: strengthening and broadening the blockchain community as well as promoting the use of enterprise blockchain technology. We hope to make the public aware that those who put versus between Hyperledger and EEA are wrong. It is now Hyperledger and EEA”.
Ethereum Now Supported On The Hyperledger Fabric
Shortly after the partnership was announced, another announcement was made about Ethereum being supported on the Hyperledger Fabric. The announcement was as follows:
“The ledger technology is the the actual transaction log or blockchain that is stored in a file system using merkle hashes. On the other hand, the current state of the world is stored on a separate database for quick access. The Consensus Mechanism, is the combined effect of ordering service and endorsement model that brings about consensus in the network. The membership services manage the whole concept of identity using certificates that will be validated and authenticated. It is a core part of permissioning in the Fabric. The smart contract runtime supports mainly smart contracts in Go or Node.js.

The Hyperledger Fabric now supports contracts on the Ethereum Virtual Machine. These contracts can be written in vyper or solidity. The Fabric is also capable of developing dApps so developers have the opportunity to create dApps or migrate to the platform.
