Blockchain-based AI Agents To Replace Traditional User Interfaces?

As technology advances, the need for human actors in many day to day projects have been eliminated. Experts believe that a time is coming when some technologies that are now considered ultimate will be replaced by more advanced ones. One of such technology is Artificial intelligence. This technology was created with the hopes of making machines as similar to humans as possible. Thanks to machine learning, AI equipment have the ability to study and understand their environment and use the data they gather to serve humans better.

Blockchain Technology For Virtual Human Agent

With the goal of creating a smart but obedient servant, Connectome, a Japanese-based startup has developed the first ever virtual human agent using blockchain technology. This technology threatens the existence of the current user interface most of today’s tech have. While they are what is available now, the traditional user interface cannot be compared to an interface that is based on blockchain and AI technology. To get tasks done, all you have to do is point at the task or speak.

A long time ago, Apple Microsoft, Amazon and Google foresaw the relevance of this kind of technology hence the creation of their virtual assistants. Before now, these assistants were just disembodied voices. Recently, tech giants started adding named avatars to their assistance to make this technology provide something close to a human experience. Mica, the avatar created by Google’s Unicorn can answer questions based on stored data. The avatar makes eye contact, smiles and uses other human-like gestures. Mica is similar to Sony’s creation, Sophia.

Say Bye Bye To User Interfaces

With these avatars, there will eventually be no need for dashboards or buttons. As long as you have the assistance, you can perform tasks efficiently by simply speaking to your human-like avatar. The market for these kind of assistance is growing daily thanks to the needs of this tech-inclined generation. The VHA that Connectome is creating is going to lead to a chain reaction that would eventually render user interfaces useless. Just like the automotive industry was able to replace animal driven vehicles with human driven vehicles in the 20th century, VHA is going to replace this generation of user interfaces.

Connectome is working hand in hand with another Japanese technology firm, Couger. This firm already has over 12 years of experience in the blockchain, VR and AI industry. They work with telecommunications companies like KDDI and car manufacturers like Honda. The company claims that it is using a buzzword that was coined by marketers to describe something that no one will remember.

The blockchain-based platform, Connectome is working on is going to facilitate thousands of projects for entrepreneurs and developers. They will be able to trade and exchange human-like AI agents they create along with the data needed for training these agents. The platform will also give companies and individuals the power to secure ownership rights in human-like AI agents. The company said:

“We see a future where AI that has human-interface will serve as the greatest agents in difficult situations. For example, people who are elderly and autistic will be able to enjoy the benefits of technology efficiently.”

The company believes that it has the potential to harness tectonic change of how machines and humans interact. They have not yet made any announcements about an initial public offering or fundraising for the project.
