EOS (EOS) Maintains Top Spot on Chinese Blockchain Rankings, With Ethereum on Second Position and Bitcoin (BTC) On 15th Spot

The CCID recently released its latest government-backed rankings on top digital currencies in the crypto space. The blockchain rankings were released on the 24th of this month via a press release. According to the result of the rankings, EOS (EOS) is still the number one, as it still maintains its position at the top of the list. The second position goes to the third-largest digital currency in the world by market cap – Ethereum (ETH).

Whereas, the world’s most dominant digital currency – Bitcoin (BTC) – was spotted on the 15th position on the list. The digital currency rankings by CCID (China’s Center for Information and Industry Development) was initially announced in May 2018.

This is the ninth edition of the rankings. In this edition, EOS still holds its position as the number one blockchain, and the blockchain project has been on that position since June last year.

EOS Tops the Chat in the First Index Released by CCID in 2019

The first index released by CCID in 2019, the ninth Global Public Chain Technology Evaluation Index of the institute, puts EOS as the number one on the ranking again. In the last index, which the institute released in December last year, EOS was also placed first in the ranking.

EOS has been an outstanding blockchain project in the crypto space. The blockchain project, since its emergence, has attracted a lot of developers to its platform. Just like Ethereum, EOS is a blockchain project that provides a platform for developers to build and deploy decentralized applications.

Since its emergence, the blockchain of EOS has been a big threat to that of Ethereum. Ethereum also provides a platform for the creation of decentralized apps. Most of the altcoins in the market were created and deployed on the Ethereum blockchain. However, the blockchain of Ethereum seems to lack certain things which EOS stands to correct. As such, many developers are now migrating to the blockchain of EOS.

The number of decentralized apps built on the blockchain of EOS is increasing every day, and it boasts of more active Dapp users than Ethereum. At the moment, EOS is one of the biggest rivalries of Ethereum. Nevertheless, Ethereum is set to improve its blockchain with its upcoming upgrade known as Constantinople.

Ethereum Is the Second Top-Ranked Blockchain

The second position on the list of top-ranked blockchains by CCID goes to Ethereum. Ethereum was on the same spot in the rankings released in December last year. The hard fork by the developers of Ethereum was scheduled for launch this month. However, the date has been shifted again until late February.

On the other hand, the current position of Bitcoin is up from the 18th position it held in the last ranking in December to the 15th spot. The second largest digital currency in the world – XRP – is on the 20th position on this list.

According to reports, Ripple recently launched a blockchain research scholarship in collaboration with a top research University in China. According to the report, the partnership was secured last week.
