After a huge rally of cryptocurrency prices during the weekend, major cryptocurrencies seems to have steadied with no signs of a noteworthy correction. Ethereum’s ETH still maintains its position above Ripple’s XRP while altcoins like Binance Coin and Dash continue an upward rally.
Bitcoin BTC Price Today
At press time, bitcoin (BTC) is trading at $3,650 to the USD slightly down from $3,695 where it peaked on Sunday. BTC was unable to break the key resistance at 3,700 as it rallied past the $3,500 mark. Bitcoin dominance still hovers around 52.8 percent, an indication that the performance of bitcoin is in sync with the rest of the market. 24-hour transaction volume for BTC has also steadied around $6.3 billion; after it peaked at $7.73 billion on Friday.
Ethereum ETH Price Today
Ether is currently trading around $120 today thanks to a market-wide price rally that started last week. The total market cap Ethereum’s native ETH token rose to over $12.7 billion from under $11 billion last week. With this it reclaimed the second position on the crypto rankings by market cap, displacing Ripple’s XRP. While XRP has slightly receded, ETH is maintaining its price and market cap at a green.
Ripple XRP Price Today
XRP’s price also increased with the rest of the market although at a slower pace compared to the ETH. Having corrected by 1.5% in the last 24 hours, Ripple’s price is now at $0.3 and its market cap is slightly over $2.5 billion which puts it under ETH for the time being. There’s a good chance that XRP will overtake ETH in the coming days as the project keeps pushing for partnerships.
Other Altcoins Price Watch
The top 10 coins are generally steady after a positive weekend. Litecoin which led the surge over the weekend gaining almost 40 percent has also stabilized with insignificant movement in the past 24 hours. Will it fall to a major correction in the coming days? Time will tell.
As at today, Dash (DASH) and Binance Coin (BNB) are the best-performing of the top 20 coins posting 24-hour gains of 8 percent and 4 percent respectively.
