According to a new report by NextWeb, the United States is the present world leader in Blockchain related jobs. This report was published on March 8. The research for this report was gathered from the popular job and recruiting site, Glassdoor. This information comes a few weeks before the Blockchain Week NYC.

The term ‘blockchain’ was searched for in the job category and it listed countries around the globe. The results showed that the United States is the leading country in terms of blockchain related jobs.
What the stats show
More than half of the total blockchain jobs listed are linked to the United States. After the US, the United Kingdom comes in second with about 1,015 blockchain related job ads. The third on the list is India, a developing economy with about 257 vacancies for blockchain related jobs.
On the site, there are some common positions and the most common is “Blockchain Engineer” it takes the lead in the number of jobs available. Other positions such as “Senior Software Engineer” and “Blockchain Developer” were the second and third respectively.
Companies with the highest vacancies were also published in the report. Tech giant IBM is leading the pack in the number of blockchain jobs. The Big Four accounting firm Ernst and Young come next. Oracle, the software company, takes the third position.
When it comes to the digital currencies linked to companies on the list, we can see Crypto.com and Wirex in the top 10. In this list, the payment startup Ripple stands in the 17th position. ConsenSys, the blockchain software company takes the 13th position.
Salary range of blockchain related jobs

The average pay for the blockchain roles is about $84,884 per year. This sum is considered above the median pay in the US. The highest paying job listed in the crypto space was about $223,667 per annum.
