Some people are looking for Ethereum price prediction 2019 and searching for answers to questions like why is Ethereum falling, will Ethereum recover, what’s happening after the Ethereum Constantinople fork? However, there is a lot more going on in the Ethereum community. In a statement to CoinDesk, the Ethereum mining pool, Sparkpool revealed that on the 25th of February, an unknown user sent them an email. The email stated that they accidentally attached 2,100 ETH as a fee for a transaction that was performed on the 19th of February. At current prices, this amounts to about $300,000.

Sparkpool said that they asked the sender of the email to verify that he or she was the one who performed the initial transaction by performing another transaction of 0.022517 ETH from the same address. The owner subsequently sent out the required amount of ETH on the same day. After verifying, Sparkpool agreed to return only half of the 2,100 ETH fee that was accidentally sent. The Ethereum mining pool also discovered that the sender is from a South Korean blockchain firm. The half retained by the pool will be given to entitled miners.

After Sparkpool proposed a split, the sender confirmed that he or she had agreed to take back only half of the total fee. Part of it was as follows:

“Thank you SparkPool and your miners for helping us to recover our loss, we are willing to share half of 2,100 ETH with the miners to thanks the miners’ integrity.”

Keep in mind that as soon as Sparkpool discovered the payments on the 19th of February, they froze the mining reward as they suspected that it might have been an accident. The mining pool demonstrated their integrity by agreeing to return half of the 2,100 ETH to the sender.
