


After a marvelous peak from $162 up to $19,886 in just over two years, the price of Bitcoin fell by nearly 70 % between December 17, 2017 and February 6, 2018, to under $6,000. All crypto investers saw red lights everywhere. But now it seems that green zone comes back.
The cryptocurrency has added $6 billion in a matter of hours as top cryptocurrencies record significant gains in the last 24 hours. Among the top coins, Bitcoin Cash leads the charge with almost 20 percent gain since yesterday. Other altcoins including Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC) and EOS (EOS) post gains against BTC whose market dominance drops further.

Ethereum (ETH) Price Today / USD
The most valuable altcoin by market capitalization consolidated its position further following an impressive 7 percent growth in less than 12 hours. At this rate, Ether would not only blaze past $150 but will match its yearly high of $165 in the next 24 hours.
But for now, ETH is trading at $144 to the USD, its best price in three weeks. Its market cap also rose to $15.1 million while the trading volume in the last 24 hours increased by over $600 million.
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) Price Today / USD
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) is by far the best performing cryptocurrency in the top section of the cryptocurrency charts. BCH has skyrocketed with more than 17 percent gain since trading yesterday. BCH is now trading at $157 to the USD although it’s crossed the $160 mark briefly. The trading volume of BH has almost doubled in 24 hours while relatively unknown LBank crypto exchange accounts for about 22% of all BCH trades during this period.
Bitcoin (BTC) Price Today / USD
Bitcoin has eventually reached and sustained a position above the $4,000 mark following a crypto market rally going into the weekend. At the time of writing, BTC is trading at $4,064 to the U.S. dollar having witnessed at least 3.5 percent gains from this time yesterday. Following the rally, the market cap for bitcoin added about $2 billion and now stands at $71.5 billion today.
Despite the news that CBOE will not list new Bitcoin futures (XBT) contracts this March, activity around BTC trading was not dampened. The trading volume in the last 24 hours is well above $10.5 billion. Bitcoin dominance, however, dropped further from yesterday’s yearly low of 50.8% to a new low of 50.6% which represents the improved performance of altcoins rather than a problem with BTC.

Most top altcoins are in the green today recording varied improvements from yesterday’s performance.
Ripple (XRP) Price Today / USD
Ripple (XRP) managed about 3 percent price improvement in the last 24 hours a few days after it made its last significant jump. At the time of writing, XRP traded for $0.322 and it’s market cap of around $13.3 billion USD. XRP trading volume in the last 24 hours is $760 million.
LTC, EOS, Other Altcoins Price Today / USD
LTC has grown by about 8% and currently trades at $62 to the USD while Stellar has grown 4% to reach $0.11 in the last 24 hours. EOS has also made a significant gain of 6% and now trades at $3.85. Binance Coin (BNB) could only manage a 2 percent growth as its whirlwind calms. Monero is at the cusp of $55 after a 5% increase from yesterday.
