Mining Giant, Bitmain, Establishes Secret US Subsidiary

Bitmain, cryptocurrency mining company, may secretly be developing facilities in America.

The Bitcoin mining specialist, Bitmain may be connected to a recently founded company, Ant Creek, LLC. Recent reports show that the company is trying to build several mining facilities in Washington.

The Scoop On Ant Creek LLC

While there hasn’t been any public announcement to prove that the company belongs to Bitmain, both companies have the same founder, Jihan Wu. The new company, Ant Creek was founded in 2017 and is registered as a profit-making organization.

Although this new company doesn’t have a physical address yet, a report from a bulletin of the Walla Walla Union indicates that Ant Creek may be entering a land use agreement to lease land. The agreement will kickoff from the year 2019, and the company will have the option to purchase a maximum of 40 acres. The bulletin also indicates that if the agreement is approved, the land will serve as a cryptocurrency mining facility.

Although the development is notable, there isn’t enough information publicly available regarding the project. There are currently no public documents that link both companies. Despite the lack of information on the project, the reports show that the project has already started and the facility for mining cryptocurrency is being developed. In fact, it has past the early stages of development.

If the rumors are true, the project will be a good investment generating up to $7-$10 million for the city. It will also create about 15-20 jobs. A local officer who spoke to the press confirmed the information claiming that he had been working with the company for up to six months.

This isn’t the first expansion effort of the Bitmain. The China-based chip producer recently launched expansion in Switzerland and Canada. Reports show that the new facility in Switzerland has been launched as Bitmain Switzerland. However, no one is sure how much progress has been made in the Canadian facility.
