It wasn’t until after the Coinbase Pro announced that the price of XRP managed to surge above the $0.46 level. It outperformed Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies for days increasing by more than 20% within a 24 hour period before it finally started correcting lower in a market wide pull back.
Two days ago, Ripple announced a new use case of the XRP token to put the minds of doubters at rest. Making reference to a new use case of XRP with one of its largest global partners, Ripple posted;
“Learn how @MoneyNetint made its global payments business more efficient and secure after joining RippleNet. http://bit.ly/2X4rrLx”
MoneyNetint provides several financial services to clients across the globe. To make its cheap and fast cross-border payments even more efficient, the company partnered with Ripple by joining RippleNet. Raphael Golan, the business development director at MoneyNetint said;
“We support our customers by facilitating their cross-border payments. Many of them are based in different regions around the globe, but trade with customers in Europe and the US. By utilizing our localized payment network of banks and partners, they are able to process cross-border transactions for a far lower commission than they would in traditional local banks in each of these regions.”
He continued;
“We knew that if we could cut transaction time from a few days to less than a day, while still reducing costs,” continued Golan. “It would allow clients to invest more time and money in developing their business. We saw that blockchain technology could disrupt the traditional cross-border payments industry but couldn’t find a partner who could provide a professional and reliable platform until we met the Ripple team.”
