Coil depends on the Interledger procedure, which Thomas stated previously in May that it will aid cash-out alternatives for other cryptocurrencies. Now equipped with a broad crypto treasury of its own, Coil is ready to become a second crucial point of XRP distribution.
Dybskiy said “I think gaming is going to become a pretty big priority for us,” reckoning that sincerity to assets outside XRP is what fascinated him to work with Interledger, early last year. “Interlegder has nothing to do with XRP in its design. It’s a great interoperability protocol.” The two-person Puma Browser team is presently wooing investors to boost a round of its own, including Xpring and other funds in the XRP ecosystem.
The CEO, Thomas said, Coil is operating a “Booster” program that pays XRP grants to key content creators on its media platform. He refused to stipulate the numbers of content creators involved in the program, though in May they collectively earned $10,000 worth of crypto.
Outside Imgur and Cinnamon, Coil is also affiliating with a mobile browser startup called Puma Browser. Puma Browser co-founder Yuriy Dybskiy stated that his Coil-powered mobile browser acquired 840 downloads on iOS and 300 on Android from the time when it was launched in July. Puma Browser partnered with Coil to permit XRP payments for applications such as the mobile game Flood Escape. Players who pay with XRP get added benefits, like boosted character speeds.
