Ripple News Today – XRP News Today – XRP Latest Update – XRP Army Set To Overthrow Ripple Execs

As the price of XRP continues to suffer, the members of the community took to Twitter to express their anger against Ripple and its executives. XRP bag holders are now ready to fight back in any way they can. One prominent member of the XRP community, @CryptoBitlord, said that he is considering making a hard fork of XRP to stop the founders from manipulating the price with the dumping schemes. He urged other members of the XRP community to work with him. In his words;

“I’m thinking about forking $XRP so we don’t have to deal with the founders dumping. — This will be a community effort. Retweet if you’re in.”

This is a step above the petition he opened three weeks ago titled “Stop Ripple Dumping.” With over 2500 signatures on that petition, there is a strong chance that Ripple executives will have no choice but to stop dumping XRP for now.

Crypto Bitlord made other comments that attracted a lot of engagement from the XRP community. These were directed to Ripple’s CEO Brad Garlinghouse and CTO Joel Katz;

“Brad Garlinghouse, Joel Katz, you now have 60 days to stop dumping XRP or we will stage a community takeover. If it’s a decentralized network like you say, we have the power to do it.”

While the comments from Crypto Bitlord may seem extreme, they aren’t unfounded as Ripple increased its XRP sales by 48% between the first and second quarter of the year. Brad Garlinghouse quickly created a series of tweets to explain to the community why they need to sell XRP tokens. In his words;

“XRP sales are about helping expand XRP’s utility — building RippleNet & supporting other biz building w/XRP ie Dharma & Forte. Reality is we DECREASED our sales by volume Q/Q and since then the inflation rate of XRP circulating supply has been lower than that of BTC and ETH.”
