Cardano News Today – Headlines for October 23

Cardano News Today – Cardano (ADA) is one of the best altcoins in the market. The crypto project has also been making waves with more developments and positive announcements lately. Cardano is the first Haskell code-based digital currency. The team behind the project recently said that the composability and modularity of Haskell helped IOHK to leverage “a lighter weight bespoke library called Time Warp for Cardano.” The enormous growth of Haskell libraries, the language, can be used to build production apps.

A New Rewritten Haskell Cardano Would be Available in January Next Year

To avoid human error and ambiguity, the parent company of Cardano – IOHK – adopted functional programming languages. IOHK embraced Haskell, as it was the most notable one. One of the fundamental reasons the firm chose Haskell was that it provided the perfect balance of theory and practicality.

Recently, the founder of IOHK – Charles Hoskinson – revealed that in January next year, an entire new rewritten Haskell Cardano would be available to consumers. The IOHK founder also talked about the outbreak of upgrades on decentralized elements – the Shelley testnet.

Hoskinson recently hosted an Ask Me Anything session. During the “Ask Me Anything” session, he said that the Cardano team was also getting ready for Haskell Shelley Testnet possibly in the same month. In another press release, Charles Hoskinson said that the team has been working on an Explorer for the much-awaited incentivized testnet.

Cardano Incentivized Testnet Is Still Scheduled for November

Everything seems to be going as planned on the Cardano calendar. The founder of IOHK recently said that everything is in place and the launch of the incentivized testnet is still on schedule. It is still scheduled for launch in November, nothing has changed yet. Hoskinson said:

Things are certainly moving in the right direction, incentivized testnet is still scheduled for November. We will go ahead and make an announcement sometime this week or next week about specifics for that as well as the airdrop date of when we are going to the snapshot.”

At the moment, the team is yet to make up their mind if there would be one or two snapshots. In addition, the time between the first two snapshots would be a trial run since the mining is not real. Hoskinson said that an approach like this in place would enable users to access their testnets to stake ADA. It would also give them time to remediate if there is any issue.
