Tron Losses Its Dapp Dominance to EOS

In the decentralized application (DApp) ecosystem, Tron has been enjoying a considerable level of dominance. Nevertheless, recent data from DApp Review shows that EOS has surpassed Tron in the DApp space. Over the past seven days, in terms of users, EOS has been above Tron. Whereas, Ethereum is lagging far behind. However, despite the fall, Tron welcomed six new DApps into its network. The addition of these DApps pushed the total number of DApps on the network to 620.

However, many believe that this fall is temporary. Tron is one of the most active crypto projects in the crypto space. Tron is the go-to platform for many developers. The crypto project is more likely to reclaim its position in the short-term. Nevertheless, it would have to do that with a fight, as its rival would not give up its dominance without a fight.

Tron Latest Updates

The technical sector of the network upgraded twenty-seven Super Representatives to version 2.6.5. Furthermore, they also worked on the standards for HD wallets. They also optimized the Tron Virtual Machine (TVM) with regard to smart contracts. In addition, the Tron Foundation updated the community about its developmental plans for the coming weeks also. Some of the developments in the coming week include the testing of the refactored Tron Virtual Machine, work regarding the standards for Keystore, as well as the front-end development of the one-click blockchain deployment tool. The Tron network is making significant progress every week.

Furthermore, the weekly report from the Foundation also revealed that the native currency of the network – TRX – saw an increase of more than 46 percent over the past week.
