  • Cardano Team up With African Nations to Create Build Blockchain Governance

 

 

On Cardano news update today, the Cardano foundation which is an independent body with the major aim of supervising and overseeing the growth of Cardano blockchain stated in a recent press release that they have extended their network to 54 countries on the African continent to establish blockchain governance. This development is aimed at strengthening the Cardano Blockchain to achieve viable growth and development in those regions.

Cardano is a Switzerland-based foundation dedicated to guarding and promoting Cardano’s native token ADA. Recently the foundation has teamed up with the African Leadership College, University of Mauritius, the Embassy of Switzerland, Swiss Blockchain Federation, Crypto Valley Venture Capital, Economic Development Board and Switzerland Global Enterprise to form the foundation to future-proof the blockchain industry in Africa.

The Cardano Foundation works with Input Output HK (IOHK), who are hired to create and build Cardano, and EMURGO which is the for-profit division working to enhance the Cardano ecosystem via commercial ventures.

Commenting on the partnership, the chairperson of the Cardano Foundation Nathan Kaiser, stated that the “Legislation is key to adoption and real use cases of blockchain. The Cardano Foundation is proud to be at the forefront of shaping blockchain-enabled sustainable growth in Africa. We are open to working with the continent’s countries to establish robust governance policies, assess existing laws and policies. We aim to help African nations to shape legislative and commercial standards while ensuring accountability, which in turn will create new jobs and ensure sustainable growth. Blockchain will afford African countries to diversify their economies and help the continent to increase its innovation and investment attractiveness.”

The Cardano Foundation Gaining Ground In African Countries

Already, the Cardano Foundation supports numerous enterprises that center on blockchain governance, operation, FinTech conduct, frameworks, smart contracts, and education both in Africa and yonder. Currently, the Cardano Foundation has active Cardano communities in Rwanda and Nigeria.

As the Crypto community continues to grow and more people are adopting it especially from the conventional business sectors, blockchain is becoming an important channel in society. Currently, blockchain is being used as a liberation tool as the needs of the people increase, so is the need to create blockchain governance strategies to encourage economic growth and its variation.

Mauritius is a republic with a conventional regulatory structure for the protection of digital assets whose intent is to set the pace for other African nations to follow. To aid this purpose, Mauritius is hosting the Building blockchain bridges roundtables. The Cardano Foundation’s experience in the previous roundtable held in Port Louis will further enhance the Mauritian government’s determinations to fortify its place as a Fintech hub in Africa.
