MailChimp is auto responder service which is widely used by Webmasters as well as email marketers. In the last few days, it has started shutting down accounts of individuals or companies which are related to cryptocurrencies or ICOs.

As it is one of the most preferred email marketing and auto responder platforms, there are quite a few companies in this space which are using MailChimp. As a result, they are suddenly finding that their lists are not accessible and they are not able to use the email marketing tools which are provided by the platform.

It is one of the most popular email marketing platforms which are currently available online.

According to a spokesperson for the company, the websites which are just publishing news of cryptocurrencies or ICOs will be able to use the platform. However, the email marketing tools cannot be used by people who are directly selling ICOs or cryptocurrency investments. However, most of the Internet marketers which have borne the brunt of the new policy change of the company claimed that the company is indiscriminately shutting down all accounts which are related to the niche of cryptocurrency and ICOs. This is what is causing panic among the Internet marketers. The problem is that if some of the other companies also start following suit, it will be very difficult for the digital marketers to reach out to the readers as well as visitors.

Difficult times for cryptocurrency and ICO industry:

Many of the others have also taken action against cryptocurrencies as well as ICOs. Twitter, Facebook, Google have all decided to ban cryptocurrency related advertisements. As a result, it is becoming very difficult for the cryptocurrency exchanges to reach out to the consumers. Moreover, with the limited opportunities for advertisement, it is becoming increasingly difficult for newer companies to establish in this field. This is leading to a lot of problems as well.

It remains to be seen whether the cryptocurrency industry is able to negotiate with these problems are not. For now, however, it seems like it is becoming more and more difficult for the cryptocurrency industry to expand its user base. Only when there is some leeway in advertising, it will become easier for the companies to start reaching out to new consumers.

With the increasing ban on ICO as well as cryptocurrency related content, the rules and regulations which are being drafted by various countries around the world, it is becoming difficult for the companies to flourish. This will hamper the innovation in this space.
